Version 2.2 Released

Version 2.2 Released

We are going to publish a new version of VirtualRehab, Version 2.2. VirtualRehab based on our clients´ and their patients’ experiences. It’s another example of how here at Virtualware we take your suggestions and comments very seriously. We’re working hard to create a tool which helps both physiotherapists as well as patients to improve the quality of their lives.

In this latest update there are notable improvements and corrections of minor errors in both the Manager and the Games.

Improvements in the Game: The system now allows you to automatically remember User and Password
Now you can simply double click to choose a patient and therapies. It’s no longer necessary to press the button SELECT.  Now you can cancel a game by pressing the ESC button on the keyboard before seeing the message GO! Just before the game starts. Once you’ve cancelled the game, it will automatically go to the next game of the session (if there is one). We’ve improved the technology of detecting the user playing the game by reducing the cone of detection of the Kinect. In the game Bring the objects to their place, we’ve added a visual aid to help the user see which object they are holding so as to help them determine where it needs to be placed on their body. Now the patient will see an image of the object in a window in the upper left corner. Exiting from the game takes less time now. Improvements in in the Manager application: The system now allows you to automatically remember User and Password We’ve completely revised the usability of the application. The number of clicks necessary to set up a patient and their programs has greatly been reduced.
Now you can simply double click to select patients, therapies, etc. to improve the user experience and save time. We’ve included a direct access to the User Manual at the top right hand corner of the screen by clicking on the Book icon. We’ve improved the edition of the game Reach the Balloons by changing the graphic so as to improve the selection of the movements. We’ve included a page function to see the Results graphics in a simpler way. You can now see the results for each of the games played by the patient. We’ve added the % of targets reached, time and points for each game.

We also have corrected various errors in the Statistics module, as errors appeared in creating empty sessions, or cancelling a screen without saving.  Please send us any suggestions or report any problem you may have with the application.
