Virtualware set to present VirtualRehab at Health 2.0 Europe in London

 

The Health 2.0 Conference is the leading showcase of cutting-edge technologies transforming health and healthcare. It brings together the best minds in the field with companies ready to disrupt the healthcare system to discuss and review the latest innovations in the sector. Health 2.0 Europe will take place at the Mermaid Conference Centre in London between Monday, November 10th 2014 and Wednesday, November 12th, 2014.

Virtualware was chosen by the Health 2.0 team to present VirtualRehab and it’s latest feature, the Leap Motion device, which has been developed to aid in the general rehabilitation of hands for patients suffering from various neurological conditions as well as to help improve mobility in the elderly. We will be demoing this innovative technology live in the session “Health 2.0 for Active and Healthy Aging” at 11:45 on Tuesday, November 11th.

VirtualRehab is a clinically validated and CE certified physical rehabilitation software that uses videogame technology and has been developed in collaboration with neurologists and physiotherapists. The current version uses the Microsoft Kinect motion capture technology, with new technologies like the Leap Motion set to be incorporated into the platform. Designed for both clinical settings and home use which allows telerehabilitation, VirtualRehab aims to improve the therapy process for people around the world.
