Evolv took part in the sold-out the “Breaking boundaries in Neurorehabilitation” Syposium in Madrid along with the European Neurosciences Center / Centro Europeo de Neurociencias. Attendees of the event included physiotherapists, occupational therapists, neuroscientists and other rehabilitation professionals.

Evolv is very pleased to announce that the company NextMed is our new distribution partner in Slovakia. NextMed has years of experience in the sales and technical support of medical devices with a strong focus in the rehabilitation field. Their clients include some of the most important state and private medical facilities in the country.

The Spanish TV channel TeleMadrid recently aired on its program, “Salud al Día,”, which looks at the latest news on health, a report on the use of VirtualRehab and how it is improving the treatment of stroke and Parkinson’s in two centers in Madrid.

We’re excited to announce that we just launched VirtualRehab 4.4. We’re always looking to find new ways of getting persons using VirtualRehab to increase intensity and dose of repetitive movements by making rehab a bit more fun. The Argentinian rehabilitation center INEBA (Instituto de Neurociencias Buenos Aires) presented the results from their ‘REAVITELEM’ study at the 35th annual congress of the European Committee for Treatment and Research in Multiple Sclerosis (ECTRIMS). The congresses took place in Stockholm, Sweden between the 11th and 13th of September.

RehabWeek 2019 in Toronto certainly didn’t disappoint. It was an intense 4 days of demonstrating our latest products in virtual rehabilitation to clinicians and researchers from all over the world and the feedback was simply amazing. It was exciting to see that rehabilitation continues to push forward with new ways of improving care with the assistance of technology but always with the aim of bettering the quality of life of those who need it most.

As part of our series of interviews to celebrate World MS Day, we spoke with the physiotherapist Lorena de Rozas Bueno who is treating a patient who uses VirtualRehab at home as part of his therapy.

We speak to someone who lives with MS and tells us about their experience with VirtualRehab.

Can you tell us a little bit about your life with MS? When did you get the news that you had the disease and how your life has changed?

I was diagnosed with multiple sclerosis six years ago. At that time

PM&R, the official scientific journal of the American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation published an article on the use of VirtualRehab in three European clinics. The article titled “Virtual Reality for Neurorehabilitation: Insights From 3 European Clinics” reported on how the system is being used in clinics for Parkinson’s Disease, Pediatric neurorehabilitation and for Multiple Sclerosis rehabilitation in hospitals across Europe.

Evolv participated in Medica 2018 in Dusseldorf, Germany, the leading international trade fair for the medical sector and where over 120 -thousand visitors attend the 4-day event. This is the first year Evolv participated in Medica after having spun-off from Virtualware, under whose name it exhibited as for several years.
