The Global Innovation Day event organized by Innobasque was held yesterday at the Palacio Euskalduna in Bilbao, its second occurrence with the slogan “learn from those who learn”. An appointment with innovation divided into four segments: a conference on “i Voices”, workshops on “i practice”, “i live” experimental corners and a schedule for “stay connected with i”.
Coming under the title Healthy Living was a segment in which several companies and organizations, such as Eroski, Orbea, Fagor and Kronikoen Sarea, were present showing their most “healthy” projects.
Among them, the Multiple Sclerosis Association of Vizcaya Asociación de Esclerósis Múltiple de Vizcaya, along with Virtualware, presented virtual rehabilitation technology with VirtualRehab, a virtual platform for the rehabilitation of patients with physical disabilities, which combines modern motion capture techniques, through Microsoft ® Kinect, 3D technology and SaaS. A product that is helping to improve the quality of life of, in this case, multiple sclerosis patients through exercises specifically prescribed by their therapists.
This second event has been a great success, with the assistance and participation of over 1,000 people, in which social networks have also gained prominence, with a reach of over 200,000 users, making #global2012 into a trending topic.
