VirtualRehab 4.0 at 2017 Ineba Conference

 

Ineba, the Buenos Aries Institute of Neurosciences, provide assistance to people with neurological and psychiatric problems, combining human and technological methods of treatment.

INEBA Foundation’s Project is based on three pillars: research, teaching and community work, following the guiding principle of collaborating to improve the quality of life of the patient and their family.

The goals of the Foundation are to promote and support research studies; create health prevention and care programs; educate and update professionals in Neurology, Psychiatry, and Neurorehabilitation; and collaborate for the development of policies and strategies that guarantee the access to health for marginalized populations.

Virtualware will be one of the main exhibitors at their annual conference on the 28th and 29th of June in Buenos Aires. The event is organized around interdisciplinary topics related to Neuroscience. Local and foreign researchers will gather to share developments from different disciplines that make up this exciting field.

During these two days of conference, Dr. Carla Gualteieri will present “Virtual Reality and telerehabilitation for treating MS patients”, discussing how solutions like VirtualRehab can be used to improve the quality of life in persons living with Multiple Sclerosis in the comfort of their own homes.

Cristobal Artigas, Virtualware’s LATAM director of VirtualRehab, will be presenting the latest version of the platform at the event, showing attendees the new and improved features of the platform, including the new assessment and exercises modules, as well as the latest therapeutic games that help patients improve their  range of motion. Ineba is currently using VirtualRehab successfully with patients as part of its technology offering in neurorehabilitation services.
